here is she?

A lot has happened since I last updated. I had a wonderful time at The Gathering in Minneapolis! But the most important thing is we are expecting puppies! Here is a link to the page where we are on puppy watch.

ust a quick update to let everyone know I am still here!!! I survived my son's graduation and college selection (Purdue it is) and a trip to Switzerland thrown in there!

This weekend our group is selling beads at the Bead Mercantile in Sharonville. Things are going swimmingly and if you were thinking of getting some lampwork beads you might want to get there earlier rather than later.

Although, if you have something special in mind most of us will happily take custom orders.

ell, I've just been back on eBay for a month or so and things are going fine. Thanks to all the new (not so new) customers who are buying my work! I would love to see pictures of jewelry you make from my beads.

I also wanted to make sure that everyone knows about our bead group. There are a lot of really nice talented people in this group. We also are offering group auctions as a fundraiser under the eBay ID mvlampworkers.

Next week will be a big week. My oldest is going to college in the fall. He will start getting his final offers and making decisions this month. Right now it seems Purdue is the lead option, but time will tell for sure. He wants to major in Physics (yes, many times I look in the mirror and say you gave birth to a physicist, whaddya know??)

Bye for now.

i everyone! I have some beautiful blue beads up on ebay right now. I like them so much I am going to make some for me! It’s always exciting to figure out something new. I really wanted to find a blue that positively glows and after some experimentation those beads are what I settled on.

Other news!! Help the Pennies for Patients campaign at Princeton High School. If you like my beads, here is a chance to win 6 bracelets! Simply contact Mr. Dusch at ldusch@princeton.k12.oh.us and ask for raffle tickets to basket #13 (ok I know 13? Shouldn’t this have been like elevators or hotels or something??). The tickets are only $2 a piece and for $2 you could win a bracelet for almost every day of the week…

All of the bracelets come with free re-sizing.

Here is a link to all of the great raffle items! http://www.phs.princeton.k12.oh.us/Activities/pasta/2007/raffle.html

Thanks for your support!

i everybody!

I am still here. After two weeks in Europe in September, I am getting on a plane to go to India tonight. So now you know why there haven't been any updates lately! I do have some exciting things coming up. I take a class at Portia's in Chicago with Leah Fairbanks! I can't wait! Then we'll be doing our quarterly trunk show with the Bellevue Beadery the first weekend in December. Then I'll be off to Japan. So I am squeezing beads in when I can. I am sure I will come back with lot's of ideas after being in India. So take care and I promise to update a little sooner when I get back!

i everybody!

I've got a couple of really nice sets on ebay right now. There is an awesome set of hollows that just sparkle in the light. It is so hard to capture the goldstone in a picture but there are touches all over the beads. They are made with a small hole as well so they will hang correctly when strung.

There is also a pink set. And I know, it's a weird name. But there is a story behind it. Years ago I worked in an area that was all men. So to add a girly touch I always used the pink screensaver on my computer. Ha so everyone knew which one was mine! Well the name of that screensaver combo was Pink, Pink you Stink. Just always stuck in my head for something pink and girly. So now you know.

just made the most beautiful set of sunny bright beads! I'll list them tomorrow, they are cooling in the kiln now. It was really fun to try a little bit of this and a little bit of that I learned at the Gathering.

BTW, I have a blue set of beads on eBay that will be ending soon. Azul

Thanks,

Joyce

'm back from the Gathering! What a great trip it was, meeting lot's of new people and watching and listening to all of the teachers wow!

We got to listen to Paul Stankard and he was very inspiring. So now it's ease back into the routine and make some beads!

I did finally post some beads on ebay, so take a look!

Thanks,

Joyce
